ABOUT ME

I started running when I was fortytwo and gradually worked my way to a 10km time of 37mins 40secs. Everyone agreed that with that time for 10km I could not hope to run a marathon under 3hrs. Everyone that is except my coach who convinced me that with the right training and motivation I could break 3hrs. Twelve months later I ran the Hamilton NZ Marathon in 2hrs 53mins 06secs, I was 49yrs old.. Five months later I ran the Canberra Marathon in 2hrs 53mins 38secs. That was the start of the most exciting period of my running.
